Telecommunication in today society
Telecommunications play an increasingly important role in today’s society, both in the military, industrial and civil sectors. Their quality (broadband and speed) and availability allow a country to progress more and faster. The higher these characteristics are, as they enable technologies and services that could not be offered before, the more new opportunities are developed.
In these circumstances, optical fibres, capable of carrying broadband and ultra-broadband data, are today the best infrastructure that a modern country can equip itself with.
Furthermore, never as in these times of Covid-19 when mobility is limited in many parts of the world, especially in the more economically advanced countries, we realise that these infrastructures are even more indispensable so that study and work activities can continue, adapt and in some cases even progress.
Therefore, the importance of a good network infrastructure, the construction of which set several types of problems, mainly related to reliability and the cost of construction and operation related to it, increase.
A reliable network consists of adequate design and installation of quality components. In these types of infrastructures, plastic pipes play an important role, as they must ensure:
-
the easy and quick insertion of cables inside them when the infrastructure is finished;
-
the preparation for any subsequent laying (without resorting to new excavations) to extend the services or for the extraction of cables in case of need for repair.
The significant importance of the cost of the “construction work” (excavation, laying, backfilling and restoration), has led to the adoption of solutions aimed at containing above all these costs compared to those that are definitely less important than the components making up the network.
Reduction of the excavation trenches, adoption of trenchless laying technologies, internal lubrication of the pipes to reduce the stress of pulling the cables during threading, adoption of bundles of several pipes or mini pipes to lay simultaneously “several conduits” at the cost of laying only one, have led to a drastic reduction in the construction costs of these works to the benefit of the costs that the final user will then have to pay to the operator.
System Group can be included among the telecom market leaders in Italy with also the most important references, it can mention Open Fiber, Tim, Fastweb from which also have been approved the respective mini-pipes and fender, under the supervision of Infratel. The largest international companies and distributors use System Group products in order to guarantee the laying of optical fibre in an optimal way and in line with the quality characteristics.
SYSTEM GROUP produces smooth and corrugated polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC pipes for underground cable duct systems, with a wide range of specific proposals for fibre optic network infrastructure, both at national and international level. In addition to offering itself as a qualified supplier of these materials, SG also proposes itself as a collaborator of operators and companies for the development of such systems, providing its skills and experience, production and testing facilities.
HDPE pipe for underground systems, manufactured through continuous co-extrusion of two layers. The internal layer shall be smooth and of light color to facilitate visual inspection with cameras, while the external layer is corrugated and black.
and many others…
System group is always updated on the latest developments in the telecommunication field and always tries to develop new and innovative products that can meet the demands of managing companies in Europe and beyond.
