Fender – multiducts for fibre optic cables

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Multiducts in fender configuration made of high density polyethylene, which consist of microducts smooth on the outside and the inner surface is provided with small axial reliefs in order to reduce the friction surface during the cables insertion. They are available in neutral standard colour, or, upon request, entirely coloured with or without the external coextruded coloured stripes. The range of diameters (OD) available is 12 – 14 mm, located on the same planar axle in varying numbers from 3 up to 7, individually wrapped in a HDPE sleeve which is also the separating lug between the microducts and makes the whole system solid. Cables are delivered in coils wrapped around wooden reels (or without reel on demand). They are used for the construction of underground network infrastructures for fibre optic cables insertion for telecommunications. This geometric configuration allows to place the pipes in the trenches in a horizontal or vertical position: this last type of installation is particularly suitable for small trenches installations.

Microducts are also available in these two versions:

  • With gliding silicone applied on the inner surface
  • With anti rodents additive
