<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>The PSV (Plastica Seconda Vita – Second Life Plastic) Mark<\/span><\/h3>\nPlastic recycling can contribute to the transition towards circular economy models by reusing plastic already in circulation and limiting the creation of new plastic. To certify the commitment of companies in this sector and to ensure informed consumer choices, there exists a certification mark for recycled plastic known as “Plastica Seconda Vita – Second Life Plastic” (PSV).<\/span><\/p>\nThis mark is an environmental product certification system dedicated to materials and products obtained through the valorization of plastic waste (pre-consumer, post-consumer, or a mix of both) and holds European validity. It applies the concept of “traceability” of recycled materials, making products made with recycled material recognizable.<\/span><\/p>\nBy providing the corresponding PSV mark certificate, it demonstrates the product’s compliance with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) for the procurement of design services and construction works regulated by Legislative Decree 18 April 2016, n.50.<\/span><\/p>\nIn the Italian Public Procurement Code, CAM criteria are mandatory design criteria, starting from the technical-economic feasibility phase and throughout subsequent design levels.<\/span><\/p>\nIn the CAM Report, which each awardee must prepare, it is necessary, among other things, to detail the requirements of materials and construction products in accordance with CAM, as well as indicate the test methods that the contractor must present to the works management.<\/span><\/p>\nThere are different types of marks, each of which explains the “first life” of the plastics that make up the certified product.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
