NO FIRE&#8221; DRAINAGE SYSTEM<\/strong><\/h1>\n<div class=\"article-head__timestamp\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Road tunnels are equipped with a drainage system for surface water from inlets, groundwater infiltration through the lining, water used to wash walls, leaks from tankers and water used by fire-fighting systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the transport of dangerous goods is permitted, the drainage of toxic and flammable liquids is a key aspect. Drainage is important to reduce the size of puddles that could otherwise form in the event of leakage from a tanker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the event of a flammable liquid leak, the drainage system can have a considerable effect on the extent of a subsequent fire. This is achieved by creating with water, by difference in density, a barrier to air<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">entry. The material used for the construction of the NO FIRE is polyethylene (PE), in self-extinguishing class &#8220;V2&#8221; (certified with tests at accredited third laboratories).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The installation of the <\/span><b>NO FIRE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> system (storm drain plus pipes) provides that, mainly due to the mandatory surface area of installation, the whole system is statically protected by a total reinforcement of concrete.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, the <\/span><b>NO FIRE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> system also automatically acts as a disposable formwork of the contour conglomerate that, in case of fire and possible damage to the plastic part, will allow the system to maintain its geometric conformation and therefore its operation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any damage implies the subsequent removal and replacement that, most likely involve a wider arrangement, or even reconstruction, of the section of the tunnel regardless of the state of the elements of the drainage system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28954\" src=\"https:\/\/tubi.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GALLERIA-IN-SICUREZZA-CON-IL-SISTEMA-DI-DRENAGGIO-NO-FIRE-06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tubi.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GALLERIA-IN-SICUREZZA-CON-IL-SISTEMA-DI-DRENAGGIO-NO-FIRE-06-300x152.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tubi.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GALLERIA-IN-SICUREZZA-CON-IL-SISTEMA-DI-DRENAGGIO-NO-FIRE-06-768x390.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tubi.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GALLERIA-IN-SICUREZZA-CON-IL-SISTEMA-DI-DRENAGGIO-NO-FIRE-06.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><strong>NO-FIRE SR \u201csuperribassata\u201d (super-low)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Returning to our case, as mentioned, the choice fell on the NO-FIRE SR channel classified V2, which is used in tunnels where the reverse arch does not allow to have too deep excavations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It consists of two parts:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The upper part is a 100% virgin LLDPE roto-moulded channel on which a D400 ductile iron grid is installed. In addition, there are two caps in PP DE= 125 m to ensure inspection.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The lower part is a LLDPE roto-moulded siphon, which allows the creation of isolated compartments between the branches of the collector and the tunnel environment. The upper part is inserted in the lower part by means of appendices that can be cut to size making it in fact telescopic.
