PE 100 RC Shield-G Type 3 Pipes for Gas

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Dual-layer piping system “peelable layer type” for pressurized water conveyance, consisting of a smooth solidwall inner core pipe made of black PE100-RC high-density polyethylene, certified in compliance with (UNI) EN 1555-2, manufactured using homogeneous, fully compounded resin with enhanced resistance to Slow Crack Growth (RC) pursuant to DIN PAS 1075 technical specification. Core pipe features continuous metre marking providing all details required by reference standards, including approval marks, DIN PAS 1075 peelable layer designation and compound codes.

The polyethylene core pipe has a third-party laboratory verified hydrogen permeability rating, confirming suitability for gaseous hydrogen blends up to 100% concentration as referenced in (UNI) EN 1555-1. The PE100-RC DCR core pipe is coated with an extruded, contiguous orange PE protective layer with green identification stripes. Outer layer marking mirrors the core pipe marking at every metre.

Three-layer pipeline system (Type 3) for pressurized conveyance of combustible gas and hydrogen, consisting of a smooth solid-wall inner core pipe made of black PE100-RC high-density with co-extruded orange identification stripes. Compliant with (UNI) EN 1555-2, produced from homogeneous, fully compounded resin with high resistance to Slow Crack Growth (RC) pursuant to DIN PAS 1075 technical specification. Core pipe features continuous metre marking with full standard data, approval marks, DIN PAS 1075 Type 3 code, and raw material designation. The polyethylene core pipe has a third-party laboratory verified hydrogen permeability rating, confirming suitability for gaseous hydrogen blends up to 100% concentration as referenced in (UNI) EN 1555-1.

The PE100-RC DCR core pipe is encased in an aluminium barrier layer made of wrapped, overlapping, adhesivebonded foil, which remains peelable for joint preparation. The aluminium barrier is jacketed by an extruded orange PE protective layer with green identification stripes. Outer layer marking mirrors the core pipe marking at every metre.

Solid wall pipes made of PE 100 RC (MRS 10 MPa) with high resistance to Slow Crack Growth (SCG), smooth on the inside and the outside. Type 2 (2 layers) is available with inner black colour wall (90% of the thickness) + outer orange colour wall (10% of the thickness).
Diameters (OD) go from 20 up to 450 mm. Pipes are delivered in coils or bars and are used for the construction of GAS distribution systems.
