SEALING SAFETY IN PVC PIPES

The socket joining system of the pipes produced and supplied by SYSTEM GROUP PVC S.r.l., are available with three different versions of gaskets:

EPDM (classic gasket)

DINLOCK (cold installation)

POWERLOCK (warm installation)

all of them are pre-installed and compliant with the standard UNI EN 681-1

To the classic EPDM gaskets, are added those with rigid support (DINLOCK and POWERLOCK).

DINLOCK gaskets are characterized by “cold insertion”, that is, after the formation of the socket.

The POWERLOCK system instead involves the formation of the socket directly above the gasket (warm insertion), resulting in an even tighter adherence of the gasket-socket system

The main advantages of adopting a gasket with rigid support are:– preventing the gasket from escaping from its seat when inserting the male part of the tube– the difficulty of removing the gaskets from the socket (negligence in laying)Therefore, the DINLOCK and POWERLOCK systems provide the network operator with greater reliability of sealing and service efficiency than the classic gasket joining system, reducing maintenance costs.
